Our Story
Foundation Floors began in 2009 when Michael Kosov, a third-generation woodworker from Eastern Europe, decided Toronto homeowners deserved better flooring installation. After years of seeing rushed jobs, poor subfloor prep, and low-quality materials passed off as premium, he set out to build a company rooted in old-world craftsmanship and modern integrity.
What started as a one-man operation working out of a van has grown into a team of 12 certified flooring specialists serving the entire Greater Toronto Area. But our values haven't changed. Every floor we install gets the same attention to detail that Michael brought to his very first job.
We've laid over 2,000 floors across Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, and beyond. From century homes in The Annex to new builds in King City, we treat every project — big or small — with the care it deserves. Because the ground beneath your life should be beautiful, solid, and built to last.
